Grand Prix is incontestably one of the biggest events of the season in Montreal with people travelling from all over the world to watch the races and cheer for their favorite teams. The speed festival, happening from June 10th through June 12th this year, not only revives the inner child in us who secretly (or loudly) wishes to be on the circuit, because he feels like he belongs there alongside Louis Hamilton feeling the power and the adrenaline of those gorgeous race cars and the crowd’s energy, but promises fabulous Formula 1 parties with beautiful people, dreamy outfits and scrumptious food and bubbles in the chicest set ups. Auberge St-Gabriel, known as the official F1 party spot offers a program to look forward to as announced at their press conference on May 24th.
Auberge St-Gabriel’s owners Guy Laliberté, Garou and Marc Bolay in partnership with Flyjin and Jatoba’s Nic Urli and Circo de Bakuza’s Vincent Drolet, in what could compare to a Danny Ocean’s party version team will present a series of F1 events, recommended by the festival’s official promoter Octane, under the name ABGE. You can expect red carpet experience, local and international celebrities, renowned chefs and high end elegant everything.
Thursday June 9th’s red carpet & BBQ will be hosted by Francisco Randez, Felipe St-Laurent and Cindy Simard. Cindy Wollenschlaeger, a south African chef, a Silwood Kitchen graduate just like Gordon Ramsay and former executive chef for Guy Laliberte, will be in charge of the evening’s flavors taking form in a south African inspired gourmet BBQ. Rudsak, Rythme FM, Moët & Chandon, notable.ca, Jus Pur, Heineken & Romeo’s Gin will be part of the evening which will kick off at 5 pm. Tickets can be purchased here for $45.
Friday June 10th’s Bagatelle brunch will also be seasoned with Cindy Wollenschlaeger’s culinary savoir faire, with a south of France concept inspired by St-Barth, Dubaï, St-Tropez and Rio brunches with campari and dill salmon gravlax, citrus fennel salad among other plates. Lacoste, Veuve Clicquot Rich, Romeo’s Gin, notable.ca, Heineken, Jus Pur, M0851 and Dulcedo Management will be part of the brunch which will kick off at 12 pm. Tickets can be purchased here for $60.
Thursday June 9th through Sunday June 12th, Auberge St-Gabriel’s swedish executive chef Ola Claesson will offer a special Grand Prix menu, inspired by his culinary experiences in France, London and around the world, with fish, meat and combined platters such as roasted lamb, minted chimichurri, grilled tuna, miso oysters, bourbon and maple ribs, etc. from 7 pm to 10 pm. Tickets can be purchased here for $125.
Sunday June 12th’s Angel & Pilots F1 exclusive closing party where pilots come to celebrate with local and international celebs. Devon Windsor, model for Victoria’s Secret, Balmain, Jean Paul Gaultier and H&M will be part of the evening. In the previous editions, attendees list counted famous names such as Bono, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Dom Perignon, Air Canada, Notable.ca, Lacoste, Romeo’s Gin, Heineken, Jus Pur and LUXE Magazine will be part of the party which will kick off at 10 pm. Tickets can be purchased here for $60.
