Last month, I attended the 5th and last edition of the Heels & Heart fashion show benefiting the luquimia and lymphoma society of Canada.
The soirée started with a networking cocktail gathering fashion and art lovers, bloggers and journalists all avidly waiting for the main course of the night, the fashion show.
Overall, the designs reminded me of the Chanel fall winter 2014 fashion show as it had that futuristic apocaliptic touch that could have been inspired by series such as the Walking dead and the 5th element movie with Milla Jovocich, which makes sense, designers Watch TV as well!
My favorite pieces were without any hesitation these two by designer Alexis Johnston Bénamou, middle. They looked like a fashionable original version of an amazone and a very chic lady at a 3014 Gatsby themed party.
The winner of the 2014 edition, Lucas Stowe, left, wearing one of his two creations and his model, in the white ensemble.
Plastic, spikes, latex, straps, metallic pieces and feathers seemed to unanimously be part of the designers’ vision of futuristic fashion. Although, I could totally see myself wear some of the pieces in the present, I am not quite sure we, humans, will wear some of the outfits on a daily basis in a couple of centuries, but I would almost sell my favorite piece of clothing to have just a little glimpse at catwalks, magazines and street styles of the future.
