The CAFA Awards which stands for Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards just hosted their 3rd annual glamorous gala to showcase Canadians in the fashion industry who stood out within the last year through their talents, achievements and emergence. The official host was non other than Kim Cattrall. Categories include designers, models, image makers, stylists, and influencers. The 2016 edition was held last Friday April 15th at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York. The complete 2016 CAFA winners’ list is at the bottom, congratulations to UNTTLD, Frank & Oak, Lauren Klassen and WANT Les Essentiels, the 4 award winners from Montreal in the following categories: fashion emerging talent, fashion innovation, accessories emerging talent and Accessory Designer of the Year.
Canada’s first lady, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau graced the evening with her persence. She wore a Mikael D. glamorous chic black jumpsuit paired with a black cape and a Dean Davidson ring. All Canadian designers. (And a Sidney Molepo clutch)
Maripier Morin and hockey player boyfriend Brandon Prust were also part of the soirée. Maripier wore an UNTTLD sparkly jumpsuit and Brandon a Sartorialto shimmery cobalt suit. Both Montreal based designers.
