Montreal will welcome a permanent Barbie Expo, opening to the public on February 11th at Cours Mont-Royal. The exposition will showcase over 1000 Barbie dolls presenting the evolution of trends through the last 60 years and wearing couture custom pieces from designers such as Christian Dior, Versace, Givenchy, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Louboutin, Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, Herve Leger, etc.
There will also be dolls embodying icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Beyonce, Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Farrah Fawcett, Barbra Streisand and Lucille Ball, Kate Middleton, Marie Antoinette, Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly and Cleopatra. And some dolls inspired from movies like The Hunger Games, The Wizard of Oz, Twilight, Grease, Titanic, My Fair Lady, Gone with the Wind and Legally Blonde.
The entrance to the exposition is based on Cours Mont-Royal’s business hours and is free, but Make-A-Wish Quebec donations are kind of your entree fee, which seems pretty reasonable.
